Lower Body Fat Equals Better Health

Why Get a Body Composition Test?

Oftentimes, the scale you step on at home or in the doctor’s office doesn’t give you the full picture of what is going on in your body. A lower number on the scale might bring a smile to your face, but it could be an indication of a loss of lean body mass, and not fat.

When people say they want to “lose weight,” what they really mean is that they want to lose fat. Your body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains, and the BOD POD will give you an extremely accurate measurement.

Knowing your body composition can be powerful knowledge because it can help you adjust your lifestyle, diet and exercise regimen to maximize results.

By increasing your lean body mass, you can improve your body’s fat burning efficiency and your overall health. Find out your body fat percentage now and start getting the results you deserve.

Men and women are built differently, and therefore require different amounts of essential fat to function in a healthy way. For men, a healthy fat percentage is between 12.1% and 20%. For women, between 22.1% and 30% is considered healthy.

Take a look at the chart to see where you might fall in the Body Fat Ratings.
